ALDEN SHOE COMPANY was founded in 1884 by Charles H. Alden in Massachusetts, Middleborough. It is now known as the best brand among American established shoe brands, but the earliest products were new shoes by Custom Boots and Custom Made. Alden, the founder of the company, retired in 1931, but has inherited brand management rights for four generations. In 1970, a modern factory was moved to Middleborough, where Alden's shoes are being manufactured to date. In addition to the traditional Goodyear Belt production of high-quality materials, the company has also pioneered medical footwear such as the Modified Last, where people with foot problems can wear shoes comfortably. It's Alden's Identity itself that pursues a wonderful and comfortable feeling.
