1994년 Edwin Faeh가 설립한 Carhartt Work In Progress (칼하트 WIP)는 미국의 오리지널 워크웨어 브랜드 Carhartt를 기반으로 하고 있으며 설립이후 매 시즌 Carhartt WIP 컬렉션을 선보이고 있습니다. 기반이 튼튼한 아메리칸 스타일의 의류와 Carhartt가 꾸준히 포용해왔던 서브컬쳐를 결합함으로써 칼하트 WIP는 기존의 클래식함을 유지함과 동시에 그들만의 새로움을 컬렉션을 통해 보여주고 있습니다. 1980년대 후반 이래로 전 세계적으로 기존 주류 문화에 저항하는 반문화 세력은 Carhartt 워크웨어가 주는 강인한 이미지를 수용하여 자신들만의 것으로 만들었습니다. 한편, 네트워크의 성장과 튼튼한 기초를 바탕으로 한 Carhartt WIP는 1997년 런던에 첫 매장을 오픈하였으며 의류 산업 외의 문화 영역과 교류하기 시작했습니다. 음악 분야뿐만 아니라 칼하트 WIP 스케이트 팀을 구성하였으며 다방면의 아티스트를 지원함과 동시에 여러 출판물을 출시했습니다. 2010년 이후부터는 A.P.C, Converse, Fragment Design, Junya Watanabe, Nike, Vetements과 같은 브랜드와의 콜라보레이션과 Fela Kuti, Underground Resistance, Vestax와 같이 유명한 아티스트와의 콜라보레이션 또한 진행하였습니다.

The bricks and mortar address is 31, Toegye-ro 18-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul and is available from 12PM to 8PM. You are always welcomed to try all the regular season collections and carryover items in person, but previous season items with markdowns can only be tried on weekdays (Monday-Friday).
